This is my soap box, The Green Poodle's BLOG, the place where I vent, rant, express my opinions, attempt to educate, and ramble on about whatever is currently on my mind. While feedback is always welcome, please don't be disappointed if what you say has little to no effect on what I say. This is not to say that I am closed minded; far from it. Every once in a while a little something just grabs my funny bone and won't let go. Last night, I experienced one of these and just have to share.
I found a movie called ROCK DOG. This movie begins in a mountain top sheep village and is the story of a Tibetan Mastif whose father is pushing him to follow in his footsteps and become the next guardian of the flock. Much of the movie is unremarkable, at least as far as the plot is concerned. The city at the base of the mountain is home to a rock an roll legend as well as a park which is the training ground for many rock and roll would bes.
But, the village wise man is a Yak. The voice is that of Sam Elliott, the quintessential cowboy, the slow velvety smooth drawl. The name of the village wise man -- Fleetwood Yak.
