Now a common concept but one with which I was unfamiliar until just about 6 years ago.
Use less. Choose products with less packaging. Fix broken items. Try not to take home so many of those plastic grocery bags.
Instead, use reusable shopping bags that can hold up to many shopping trips. Reuse glass containers, especially those wonderful Mason jars.
When it can no longer serve it's original purpose, upcycle. Give it a new purpose. Give it a new look. Give it a new life.
At the end of it's use cycle, recycle. Let it's basic components become components of other things. And let the cycle begin again.
The whole idea is that we cannot continue to be a disposable society.
